Life is Strange Turns 10 Years Old
Is it still any good? Spoilers Ahead.
Life is Strange (2015) started off as a new project from DONTNOD Entertainment but turned into one of Square Enix’s biggest franchises.
From a prequel game called Before the Storm in 2017 to the newest entry, Double Exposure, a total of four sequels have been produced in 10 years.
After completing Life is Strange 2 in 2019, DONTNOD were no longer in charge of the franchise with Square Enix handing Deck Nine the keys to the kingdom.
With decent success in Before the Storm, the team produced True Colors in 2021 with an all-new cast of characters. Acting like a soft reboot for the series alongside dropping all five episodes at once. No waiting for weeks or months between episodes like previous installments.
This business model would carry over into Double Exposure, following up on Max’s adventure from the 2015 original.
Players all around the world continue to play and discover this graphic adventure series.
