Sonic Frontiers Review (PlayStation 5)

It’s been 5 months since the first official open world Sonic the Hedgehog game released. Despite mixed reactions from the community, it’s one of the best selling Sonic games ever at 3.5 million copies sold. Leading up to the release of Sonic Frontiers, I was very skeptical. I feel like most Sonic fans are burnt out from Sonic Team’s recent mediocre adventures (Sonic Lost World & Sonic Forces), including myself. In my opinion, Sonic Generation is the last good Sonic Team project. The IGN First preview left much to be desired. It was an early build of the game and looked rough around the edges. After some more previews, the game looked more polished. I was actually excited for Sonic Frontiers. It’s been years since I’ve felt hype for a new Sonic game (by Sonic Team). This is Sonic Team’s newest direction for the blue hedgehog but should they stick with it? What do I think of Sonic: Breath of the Wild?
